Being Creative is as essential to me as food, water, family and friends! I am most content and happy when I allow my playful creative inner child out to play. Blending knowledge and technique with play makes for a great painting.
When I start a painting, I begin with a blank canvas or sheet of watercolor paper and the three primary colors, red, yellow and blue plus white. I put on inspirational music and just go from there. If you ever want to be completely humbled, stare at a blank canvas for a while! Currently I am exploring mixing colors other than the primary colors to create new and unusual palettes.
As I grow in my artistic journey, I am developing new ways of approaching the canvas. I think of themes or feelings, I strive to conquer compositional designs or techniques such as contrast or astmospheric mystery. As a result my work is growing and evolving. Thank you for taking a look in the gallery!
