I have recently collaborated with a fellow jewelry artisan, Fire Spirit Beads.

She makes her beads in her glass studio in Northern California.  Each bead is hand made so no two beads are exactly alike, although they may look that similar.  Each has been flame annealed with the torch, and then put into a digitally-controlled kiln, and kiln annealed to remove thermal stress.  That process makes the bead stronger and more durable.  When the bead is removed from the kiln, it is cleaned and inspected personally by her to make sure it meets the high standards that she maintains.

Below are 2 necklaces that we have collaborated on.  Barbara has made the focal bead, and a couple of 'family' beads interspersed throughout the necklace.  I have created the necklace using gemstones and Bali silver beads.  We are having fun and  we hope you like our work!

Austrailan Blue Opals (round, rectangle and square) faceted coral, silver balls and Fire Spirit Focal Bead and four family beads.  Necklace is 18" long, but can be adjusted to be longer.
